RKL4440 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4440 cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed as a motor power lead, it links Indramat servo drives to synchronous motors within automated machinery. The construction, connector interface, and surface finish follow series conventions, so the cable can be routed through drag chains or fixed trays without custom fabrication. By carrying three-phase power and a protective earth conductor in one bundled assembly, it simplifies axis wiring on packaging lines, gantry robots, and material-handling stations.

Mechanical service life is supported by a bending cycle rating of 5,000,000, allowing continuous flexing in dynamic cable tracks without conductor fatigue. The 16.0 mm² power core provides a low-resistance path for high-torque acceleration events and steady motor current. The cable has an overall diameter of 25.5 mm, which helps determine bend radius and cable carrier spacing. A hard yet flexible PUR outer jacket resists cutting oils and abrasion during repeated motion. The embedded Total Shield, which combines copper braid and aluminum laminate, helps limit electromagnetic noise from coupling into nearby encoder or fieldbus lines. This shielding also supports stable signal routing when power and feedback cables share tight cabinet paths.

The conductor set uses the bulk cable code INK0606, allowing matching cable stock to be selected without changing the electrical layout. At the motor end, an EMC gland with a thread of M40 × 1.5 mates to a size-4 terminal box and provides 360-degree shield termination. The jacket is colored Orange (RAL 2003), which makes the cable easy to identify in dense harness runs. Conductor insulation remains stable up to 80 °C, supporting elevated enclosure temperatures during peak load cycles. The termination and insulation arrangement also help the cable maintain consistent performance where axes see frequent starts, stops, and direction changes.
