RKL4433 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4433 cable is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links drive controllers to servo motors and transfers both phase current and low-level control signals to support coordinated motion in automated machinery. The design allows fixed routing inside cable trays as well as dynamic movement on energy chains, making the part suitable for packaging lines, gantries, and other axis systems.

In fixed installation, the cable tolerates ambient air from -30 to +40 °C, while during continuous flexing it maintains performance between -20 to +40 °C. A diameter of 18.5 mm helps size gland fittings and supports consistent electrical characteristics along long runs. The shieldless geometry results in a line capacitance of 0.8 nF/m, which is important when matching the drive output filters to motor insulation limits. Power conductors made from fine-stranded copper have a loop resistance of 3.30 ?/km, which helps limit voltage drop in decentralized layouts. PUR cladding with an adhesion-free, matte finish provides abrasion resistance and oil tolerance without the weight of PVC. Power transmission is rated at 300/500 V, and the auxiliary cores handle 300/300 V for brake circuits or temperature sensors.

During operation, the copper strands may reach +90 °C in fixed routing without affecting insulation life, while the flexible segment is limited to +80 °C to help maintain conductor elasticity. The four power cores are sized at 4 x 6.0 mm² and are complemented by the control bundle of (2×1.0 mm²)+(2×1.5 mm²), giving separate paths for STO or brake actuation. Visibility in cable carriers is improved by the RAL 2003 orange jacket, and motion loops are allowed down to a minimum radius of 7.5 × D; fixed placements reduce this requirement to 5 x D. These bending limits support repeated movement in pick-and-place units and articulated robots.
