RKL4428 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4428 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is intended to link servo or induction motors to their associated drives and control modules inside automated cells, carrying three-phase power along with feedback or brake circuits through separate auxiliaries. The cable's construction and insulation ratings allow it to operate in machinery wiring bays, energy chains, and floor-mounted conduit without signal loss or unsafe temperature rise.

Three tinned copper cores sized at 10.0 mm² deliver the main phase current, while the auxiliary set of 2x1.0 mm² + 2x1.5 mm² conductors provides brake release and temperature sensor lines in the same sheath. The power cores are approved for up to 600 VAC, and a separate 300 VAC rating applies to the control pair for encoder or holding-brake signals. Typical line capacitance is 1.0 nF/m, so drive output filters can be sized accurately to limit switching-edge currents. Direct current drop across the loop is bounded by a conductor resistance of 1.91 ?/km, helping maintain voltage stability on long runs. The outer PUR jacket is designed for drag-chain motion, permitting more than five million cycles without jacket cracking or conductor migration.

For panel builders concerned with tight routing spaces, the cable diameter measures 22.2 mm. When permanently installed, it can be laid to a minimum radius of 5 × D; in continuously moving tracks, the radius shifts to 7.5 × D to avoid copper fatigue. The matte, adhesion-free sheath is formed from PUR (adhesion-free, matte), and it is pigmented RAL 2003 orange to comply with safety color schemes inside electrical cabinets. These mechanical limits support reliable conductor performance during vibration, lateral motion, and temperature cycling without exceeding elastic strain limits.
