The RKL4417 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It supplies three-phase energy from drive amplifiers to servomotors and is sized for medium- to high-current circuits found in automated assembly cells, material-handling gantries, and packaging lines. The cable core, shielding, and PUR jacket are arranged for consistent electrical performance while tolerating oil, abrasion, and continuous machine-tool motion. Its shielding also helps contain electrical noise from fast-switching drive outputs when the cable is routed near other machine wiring.

The cable's minimum bending radii are 5xD when laid permanently in control trays and 7.5xD during repetitive flexing on moving axes. Keeping within these radii prevents copper strand fatigue and preserves shield integrity over repeated travel cycles. A conductor cross-section of 50.0 mm² permits high continuous current while limiting temperature rise during sustained motor operation. Electrical losses stay moderate because the direct-current resistance of the copper bundle is only 0.386 ?/km, which helps keep voltage drop low over long machine runs. Signal quality also depends on the cable's dielectric properties; its mutual capacitance is 1.3 nF/m, which helps limit reactive current in inverter-fed systems. On longer cable runs, that characteristic helps reduce unwanted loading from high-frequency switching pulses. For thermal endurance, the fixed installation rating reaches +90 °C, whereas dynamic applications are limited to +80 °C. The sheath is colored Orange (RAL 2003) for quick identification in mixed wire harnesses, and it contains no halogenated compounds, reducing toxic smoke during a fire.
