The RKL4414 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links drive amplifiers to servo motors so that power and auxiliary control circuits can be routed through a single assembly, simplifying installation in automated machinery. The cable is engineered for continuous-motion environments common to gantries, transfer lines, and packaging equipment. Its combined power and signal routing reduces the number of separate cable runs along moving axes and helps keep cable management orderly. That arrangement is useful where cable carriers must accommodate both motor power and low-level auxiliary circuits in the same travel path.

Four copper power cores rated at 4x10.0 mm² deliver the phase and protective earth conductors required by high-current servo axes, while two shielded control pairs sized at 2x1.0 mm² and 2x1.5 mm² carry brake and temperature signals. Despite this mixed layout, the overall diameter is contained to 22.2 mm, allowing routing through standard energy chains. Mass is limited to 0.870 kg/m, which helps keep moving load on the drive carriage low during repeated travel. For static mounting points the minimum bend radius is 5 x D, and during dynamic motion it may flex down to 7.5 x D without overstressing the insulation. Separate control pairs help isolate brake and thermal monitoring signals from the larger power conductors. The cable is qualified for drag-chain use, so its jacket and conductor stranding are suited to repeated bending in tight-radius applications.

The electrical design minimizes losses and crosstalk during servo operation. Mutual capacitance is held to 1.0 nF/m, restricting reactive current at higher PWM frequencies, and the loop resistance of the power cores is only 1.91 ?/km at 20 °C, which helps limit voltage drop on long runs. Low capacitance also helps reduce unwanted charging effects on longer cable runs driven by fast-switching inverters. A highly abrasion-resistant PUR outer sheath provides oil and coolant tolerance, and the bright RAL 2003 (Orange) color improves visibility in large machine installations. The sheath also withstands rubbing contact in cable carriers, where repeated motion can wear less durable materials.
