RKL4412 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4412 power lead is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. As a preassembled motor supply cable, it links servo inverters to synchronous motors in automated machinery, delivering three-phase power and protective earth while also routing brake and sensor lines used in the series layout. This supports orderly cable routing and predictable electrical characteristics across moving machine axes. The cable also supports repeated movement in packaging, handling, and transfer systems where motor leads must flex with the axis.

It is rated for 5,000,000 cycles of flex life, making it suitable for high-duty drag chains. When mounted statically, the minimum bend radius is 5 x D, which helps protect the copper conductors from kinks. The overall jacket diameter measures 17.0 ±0.5 mm, so compatible glands and clamps can be selected more easily. At 20 °C, the loop resistance is 4.95 Ω/km, which helps limit voltage drop over long runs. Inside the sheath, a 4x4.0 mm² + 2x1.0 mm² + 2x1.5 mm² core set carries three-phase power, protective earth, and auxiliary control signals. The cable is suitable for drag-chain use, and the ring-lug termination on the motor end (AEH/RKS) supports direct connection to terminal blocks or grounding studs.

During motion, the cable uses a minimum bend radius of 7.5 x D, which helps reduce internal strand fatigue while keeping cable carriers compact. Signal behavior is supported by a line capacitance of 0.8 nF/m, which helps minimize reactive current at high PWM switching rates. The outer sheath uses PUR (adhesion-free, matte) to resist oils and welding sparks, and the surface is colored RAL 2003 (Orange) for quick identification in multi-cable harnesses. The matte jacket surface also helps reduce sticking where cables move closely together inside a carrier.
