RKL4408 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4408 cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. This hybrid motor lead is intended for fixed installation or moving drag-chain runs where one cable must carry drive output and auxiliary circuits to a synchronous servo motor. It supports industrial automation cells by combining motor power and secondary wiring in a single assembly, which helps reduce routing complexity inside the machine. That layout also helps keep cable paths organized where separate power and auxiliary leads would otherwise need additional space.

Four copper conductors sized at 4x10.0 mm² form the main power path, while the internal signal bundle adds 2x1.0 mm² + 2x1.5 mm² conductors for brake release, temperature monitoring, or sensor functions. The power conductors are rated for up to 300/500 V (VDE); 600 V AC (UL), and the control conductors are rated for up to 300/300 V (VDE); 600 V AC (UL), so the cable can be used in equipment built for different regional requirements. A circular outer diameter of 22.2 mm helps the cable fit common cable glands and supports even conductor spacing inside the jacket. This arrangement keeps the assembly suitable for applications that need both motor power transmission and auxiliary connections in one cable run.

The outer jacket is made of PUR (adhesion-free, matte) and is colored RAL 2003 (orange), making the cable easy to distinguish from nearby signal wiring. For moving applications, the minimum bending radius is 7.5 x D, which helps protect the conductors during repeated flexing in drag chains. The flexible operating temperature range is -20 to +40 °C, and fixed installation is permitted from -30 to +40 °C. Factory-installed AEH ferrules and RKS ring terminals support direct termination, and the bulk cable designation is INK0605 for matching spare lengths or replacement sections when needed.
