RKL4407 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4407 cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is supplied as a pre-assembled power line for synchronous servo motors and drive controllers, carrying motor power and auxiliary circuits between the cabinet inverter and the machine axis. Its intended use is on moving machine axes where repeated flexing occurs during normal operation. By matching insulation, conductor layout, and mechanical features to motion applications, the cable supports stable power delivery in automated production cells.

The bulk material is listed as type INK0604, which uses a polyurethane jacket with oil-resistant and flame-retardant additives suited to continuous flexing. Inside the sheath, the conductors follow a 4x6.0 + 2x1.0 + 2x1.5 mm² layout, so the cable includes four power cores and two auxiliary pairs for motor, brake, or temperature-related connections. Each phase conductor has a cross-section of 6.0 mm², helping reduce voltage drop over longer cable runs. The overall cable diameter is 18.5 mm, which supports routing through cable carriers and helps determine clamp size. Loop resistance is rated at 3.30 ohm/km. The orange PUR jacket also supports drag-chain use and resists abrasion during repeated motion.

For fixed installation, the cable may be bent to a minimum radius of 5 x D. In dynamic energy-chain service, the minimum radius increases to 7.5 x D to protect the insulation during repeated movement. Continuous flexing is permitted from -20 °C to +40 °C, and the conductor temperature can reach a fixed-installation maximum of +90 °C. Electrical insulation for the motor supply is rated at 300/500 V, while the paired control cores remain within a 300/300 V range. These limits apply to routing and operating conditions where the cable is expected to move repeatedly without overstressing the jacket or conductor insulation.
