The RKL4349 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It carries drive output from the controller to the motor while returning brake and sensor lines through paired control cores. Because the cable is intended for continuous movement in energy-chain tracks, it supports automated axes in pick-and-place units, gantry loaders, and multi-axis machining centers where frequent flexing is unavoidable. It is suited to applications where the cable must follow repeated machine travel without interrupting power delivery or auxiliary signal transmission.

The mechanical service life reaches 5,000,000 bending cycles, showing how many flexing movements the cable can withstand before conductor or insulation fatigue becomes critical. During operation, the cable may bend to a minimum dynamic radius of 7.5 × D, while fixed routing requires only a static radius of 5 × D. Four power cores use 16.0 mm² conductors, and two shielded control pairs use 1.5 mm² conductors so the cable can carry motor current along with brake and sensor signals in the same moving run. Line losses are limited by a bulk resistance of 1.21 ?/km, which helps keep voltage drop low over typical machine lengths. The controller side uses an RLS0724/K16 connector, and the motor end uses an RLS1301/C16 plug for direct connection at both ends.

The electrical characteristics include a capacitance of 1.2 nF/m, which is relevant when longer cable runs are used with drive output filters. The cable has an outer diameter of 25.5 mm, so it fits standard chain inserts without crowding adjacent hoses or signal lines. Its halogen-free jacket reduces corrosive gas generation during a fire and supports use in enclosed industrial spaces and machinery cells. The jacket material also helps protect the internal conductors during repeated drag-chain travel.
