RKL4345 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4345 cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. This molded assembly links a drive controller to a synchronous motor and supplies the three-phase power and auxiliary conductors needed for closed-loop automation. The molded construction reduces separate termination points at the machine and helps keep power delivery stable during repeated axis movement. By pairing a predefined length with series-specific connectors, it eliminates field terminations and maintains consistent electrical characteristics between the inverter and motor terminals during servo operation.

The cable has an outer diameter of 14.8 mm, giving adequate wall thickness for mechanical protection without adding excessive drag in cable carriers. Inside, the power cores are sized at 2.5 mm², a cross-section suited for typical low-to-medium frame servomotors, while the separate control pair is 1.0 mm² to carry brake or temperature signals with lower current demand. The jacket material is PUR, which provides abrasion resistance and oil tolerance for cable-chain use. During motion, the minimum bend radius is 7.5 × D to reduce conductor fatigue during repeated flexing. In fixed routing, the cable can be installed with a tighter 5 × D bend without overstressing the cores.

A rated life of 5,000,000 bending cycles supports high-duty gantry axes where continuous cable-chain acceleration is routine. Conductor resistance is 7.98 ohm/km, which helps limit I²R losses over long runs, and the discharge capacitance is 0.7 nF per meter for drive-end EMC planning. Plug A is a factory-crimped RLS1108/C03 bayonet connector, while the motor side uses the matching RLS0722/K03 to maintain shielding continuity through the coupling shells. The orange jacket follows RAL 2003 for quick visual identification, and the assembly uses bulk cable designation INK0602 for the underlying cable type.
