The RKL4342 cable is part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for linking servo drives to their motors inside automated machinery. As a finished harness, it integrates pre-terminated power conductors and auxiliary control cores so the cable can carry motor power and related auxiliary signals in one run. Within an automation cabinet or along a drag chain, it transfers three-phase power while maintaining the signal separation and mechanical flexibility needed for continuous motion axes. It is suited for gantries, transfer units, and other servo-driven assemblies where cable routing must stay compact around moving machine members.
Mechanical endurance is supported by a bending life of 5,000,000 cycles, allowing frequent carrier travel without conductor damage. For fixed routing, the cable may loop to 5 x D, while moving installations must respect 7.5 x D to protect the sheath during repeated motion. The orange PUR jacket in RAL 2003 is adhesion-free, matte, and resistant to oil and abrasion, which helps it move cleanly through cable carriers. An outer diameter of 30.8 mm fits common chain trays, and the phase conductors measure only 0.554 ?/km at 20 °C to limit voltage drop on long machine axes. The PUR outer surface also resists sticking when adjacent loops touch inside a carrier, which helps the cable move smoothly over long travel distances.
The assembly uses bulk cable INK0667, which keeps the conductor arrangement and insulation system consistent over the full length. Factory-installed terminations use a motor-side plug coded RLS1301/C35 and a drive-side plug coded RLS1302/C35, reducing wiring mistakes during installation and keeping the connection format consistent at both ends. Each power phase uses a cross-section of 35 mm², while separate 1.5 mm² control conductors carry brake or temperature-sensor signals. Separate auxiliary cores let the cable support functions such as brake release or thermal monitoring without requiring a second power harness beside the main motor feed. These smaller conductors remain isolated from the high-current lines so auxiliary circuits can operate without being combined with the motor power cores.
