RKL4338 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4338 cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series. As a ready-made power connection, it links servo motors to their drive controllers and carries three-phase power together with the protective earth conductor. Its integrated strain relief and molded overmold help keep the conductors secure during acceleration and repeated machine movement. This format is useful on moving axes that need a preterminated cable for quick connection without field assembly or separate shielding work. The design is suited to the routing paths commonly used in cable tracks and cable chains on automated equipment.

The cable is factory-installed with RLS1301 at the motor end and RLS1302 at the drive end, which removes the need for on-site crimping. The copper bundle has a conductor cross-section of 4x6.0 mm², supporting the current demands typical of medium-frame servo motors. During continuous motion, the cable is rated for 5,000,000 flex cycles. Safe routing inside moving carriers is supported by a 7.5xD dynamic bending radius, while fixed installation can use a 5xD static radius. A braided and foil assembly forms a total shield, which helps limit common-mode emissions and reduce drive-induced interference. The overall diameter of 18.5 mm affects gland sizing and the space needed at cabinet feed-throughs.

The outer sheath is made of PUR, which resists cutting oils and repeated torsional stress in motion applications. Its Orange (RAL 2003) jacket color follows the common visual coding used for energized motor leads. Thermal suitability extends from -30 °C in cold-start conditions to 80 °C near warmer equipment areas, allowing the same cable type to be used across different parts of a plant. The prefabricated connectors reduce handling steps during installation, and the shielded cable construction supports stable power transmission when it is routed close to switching drive hardware.
