RKL4332 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4332 is a preassembled motor power cable supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for linking Rexroth drive controllers to synchronous or induction motors, the assembly routes three-phase power and protective earth between components in an automated axis. Its wiring and molded connectors are engineered for moving-cable applications found on gantry, handling, and packaging machinery where continuous cable chains are employed. In these settings, the cable must endure frequent motion while protecting conductor alignment and jacket stability over long travel paths.

Its copper power cores use a cross-section of 35.0 mm², arranged as 4 (1,2,3,GNYE) conductors to carry phase currents and protective ground. A separate pair of control leads with a 1.5 mm² cross-section supports brake release or temperature sensors inside the motor. The cable is built on INK0667 bulk stock, which uses a polyurethane outer jacket that resists oil and abrasion. Its rated life is 5,000,000 pure bending cycles, but it is not intended for simultaneous bending and torsion, so robot wrist applications are excluded. Factory-crimped contacts terminate to an RLS1301/C35 motor plug on one end and an RLS0723/K35 controller plug on the other, reducing installation time and keeping the connection layout consistent along the axis.

When installed in an energy chain, the cable permits a dynamic minimum bend radius of 7.5xD, while stationary routing may be formed down to 5xD without conductor fatigue. Axes can be accelerated at up to 10 m/s² along strokes reaching 50 m because the cable is built for low-drag travel and controlled flexing in guided motion systems. These operating limits make it suitable for long linear runs where repeated movement, stable routing, and resistance to abrasion are required throughout normal machine operation.
