RKL4322 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4322 power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for servo axes that travel inside energy chains, the cable links IndraDrive power stages to synchronous motors while tolerating repetitive motion. Its role in industrial automation is to deliver three-phase power and auxiliary signals without mechanical fatigue in high-speed pick-and-place gantries, packaging lines, and robotic wrists. It is intended for applications where the cable must move repeatedly between fixed cabinet wiring and a moving motor connection.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, allowing long service life in constantly moving tracks. In fixed routing, it may be bent down to 5 x D, while dynamic applications require a minimum loop of 7.5 x D to reduce conductor strain during motion. With a mass of 0.490 kg/m, the cable adds limited load to carriers and still withstands accelerations up to 10 m/s² and linear speeds of 5 m/s. The four-core 4.0 mm² power group, paired with auxiliary 1.0 mm² and 1.5 mm² control pairs, has a resistance of 4.95 ?/km at 20 °C, which helps keep voltage drop moderate on typical machine lengths. The assembly operates on 600 V AC and is terminated on the drive side with connector type RLS1301/C04 and on the motor side with RLS0721/K04. Its outer sheath is colored RAL 2003 orange to identify energized power wiring quickly inside the machine.

The bulk cable designation INK0603 identifies the extruded core geometry used in this assembly. A discharge capacitance of 0.8 nF/m limits reactive current when long lengths are driven by high-frequency inverters, which helps maintain stable electrical behavior between the drive and motor. The outer jacket is molded from PUR, giving the cable abrasion resistance and oil tolerance suitable for coolant-laden machine spaces. The flexible conductor set and pre-installed connectors also support repeated routing through moving cable systems without making the assembly difficult to handle.
