RKL4317 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4317 is a factory-terminated power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is intended to link an Indramat drive controller to a compatible motor, delivering three-phase power along with auxiliary supply lines and a protective earth conductor. In automated production cells, the cable's ready-made construction speeds installation and supports reliable energy transmission between servo axes and cabinet-mounted drives. It is commonly used on conveyors, handling robots, and packaging stations where decentralized motors must be connected to central inverters through a single prefabricated assembly inside compact equipment.

Internally, the cable contains 8 conductors, including PE. The phase conductors use 3 x 6.0 mm² + PE 6.0 mm², while auxiliary circuits are carried on 2 x 1.0 mm² + 2 x 1.5 mm² conductors. This arrangement places the motor feed and support circuits in one jacket, which helps keep cable routing orderly along machine frames and moving axes. Each end is factory fitted with molded circular connectors: the controller side uses an RLS0721/K06 connector, and the motor side uses an RLS1201/C06 connector. These fixed terminations avoid field assembly and provide the pin arrangement used by compatible drive and motor connections.

For moving-axis installations, the cable is rated for 5,000,000 flex cycles when routing maintains a dynamic bend radius of 7.5 × D. That combination suits cable tracks and other applications where repeated bending occurs during normal machine motion. In fixed installation, the minimum bend radius is 5 × D, which allows tighter routing without overstressing the insulation. The allowable ambient range starts at -30 °C and extends up to 80 °C during operation, storage, and transport. This temperature range supports use in unconditioned storage areas as well as heated production spaces during regular industrial service.
