RKL4308 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4308 is a ready-made motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links drive controllers to synchronous or asynchronous motors in automated cells, carrying phase power and control conductors through a single assembly. Factory-terminated connector RLS0722/K03 mates with the controller, while RLS1201/C04 locks to the motor housing, so the cable can be installed without field crimping. Keeping these conductors in one cable helps simplify routing through machine frames, energy chains, and cabinet entries where space is limited.

The cable's power cores use a cross-section of 2.5 mm², which is suitable for small-to-medium servo axes without excessive voltage drop during normal motor operation. A loop resistance of 7.98 ?/km indicates copper losses over long runs and shows how conductor heating stays within a practical range for moving power leads. Mutual wire capacitance is limited to 0.7 nF/m, which keeps reactive charging current low during high-frequency PWM switching from the drive. For moving-axis routing, the cable supports a dynamic bend radius of 7.5 × D, allowing use in compact carrier systems that cycle repeatedly. Its outer sheath is made of PUR, a material that resists oil, coolant, abrasion, and continuous flexing in industrial service.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 flex cycles, matching the duty of linear transfer modules and gantry systems that operate continuously over long production periods. Fast visual identification is supported by the sheath color RAL 2003 (orange), which stands out clearly among darker machine wiring and helps separate motor leads from other cable groups. Separate signal lines inside the bundle use a 1.0 mm² cross-section so auxiliary circuits can share the same carrier while limiting voltage drop. The assembled cable is based on bulk cable INK0602, and it is approved for use in cable drag chains where repeated motion and jacket durability are required.
