RKL4305 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the RKL4305, a cable in the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is engineered to connect servo motors to drive modules, delivering three-phase power along with feedback or brake signals through integrated control pairs. By combining power and control conductors in one jacket, the cable simplifies wiring inside machinery and maintains signal integrity required for coordinated motion in industrial automation cells. Its combined layout also reduces the number of separate cable runs between the motor and drive, which helps keep moving cable paths more organized. This arrangement is useful where cable chains or compact machine frames leave limited space for separate motor and control leads.

The conductor set follows a 4x1.0 + 2x(2x0.75) mm² StC arrangement, so four tinned copper phase wires share the sheath with two shielded pairs for auxiliary circuits. Each phase core has a cross-section of 1.0 mm², enabling moderate motor currents without excessive loss, while every control wire is sized at 0.75 mm² to match encoder or brake loads. Power conductors are insulated for a working potential of 300/500 V, whereas the signal pairs are limited to 300/300 V to reflect lower control levels. Overall outside diameter reaches 12.0 mm, allowing routing through standard energy-chain links and gland fittings. This cable size balances current capacity, shielding coverage, and flexibility so that it can be installed alongside other motion leads without overcrowding machine conduits.

When installed in a fixed position, the cable may be bent to a radius of 5xD; in dynamic tracks it should observe a wider limit of 7.5xD to reduce conductor fatigue. Continuous conductor temperature is permitted up to +90 °C in fixed routing, so heat from nearby drives does not compromise insulation during normal operation. A matte, adhesion-free PUR jacket helps the cable move freely in carriers and resist sticking against adjacent leads. The four control conductors are arranged as two individually shielded pairs, which helps reduce electrical interference from the motor phases. The factory-installed RLS1101/C02-INK0653-RLS1102/C02 connector chain allows installation without field terminations.
