RKL0201 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

Bosch Rexroth Indramat produces the RKL0201 cable as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. The assembly is a ready-made motor power cable that links an IndraDrive controller to a synchronous servo motor and supplies both phase current and auxiliary signals required for closed-loop motion in industrial automation cells. Pre-installed connectors and matched conductor geometry allow quick installation while maintaining electromagnetic compatibility on fast-moving gantries, pick-and-place units, and rotary indexing tables.

The cable survives up to 5,000,000 flex cycles, so it can operate for prolonged periods in energy-chain applications without fatigue failure. During motion, the cable must not be bent tighter than 7.5xD; this radius keeps copper strands and insulation within their elastic range. Ambient machine room heat is tolerated up to +80 °C, allowing routing alongside motors and brakes that dissipate considerable thermal loads. The cable uses a 3 + PE power core with 1.5 mm² conductors to deliver symmetrical three-phase current and protective earth while limiting resistive losses. A static bend limit of 5xD applies when the cable is tied down inside the cabinet, preventing compression marks during assembly.

Signal integrity and mechanical strength are supported by bulk cable material INK0650, which resists abrasion while gliding in nylon carrier links. Factory-mounted connector RLS1201 mates to the motor, while connector RLS0201 attaches at the drive end, reducing wiring errors common with field-crimped contacts. Five control cores supplement the power trio, and each auxiliary conductor uses a 0.75 mm² cross-section to carry brake release and temperature sensor signals without adding unnecessary cable diameter. Minimum service temperature is -30 °C, enabling safe startup in unheated facilities before machines reach operating warmth.
