The RKL0086 cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the dedicated power link between a drive controller and its motor, supporting installation in moving cable carriers found on automated gantries, packaging lines, and pick-and-place equipment. By combining a flexible conductor set with industrial-grade terminations, the product maintains stable current delivery during continuous mechanical motion. This layout suits axes that reverse direction often, travel at high cycle rates, and need a cable that can follow repeated machine movement without interrupting motor power.

For dynamic motion duties, the jacket and conductor bundle are designed to withstand 5 million bending cycles without conductor breakage. Simultaneous flex and twist are tolerated up to ±180°/30 cm, allowing routing through tight multi-axis chains where the cable must bend and rotate in the same travel path. The minimum dynamic loop is limited to a radius of 7.5 × D, while stationary runs may be laid on a tighter 5 × D curve to conserve cabinet space. Conductors and insulation use INK0604 bulk cable construction, with a matching strand layout, dielectric thickness, and outer sheath material that help reduce jacket fatigue and preserve signal integrity during high-cycle operation.

The assembly is delivered as a ready-made power cable with crimped terminations, so it can be installed without cutting and assembling the ends on site. Motor connection is through the screw-clamp interface of Clamp Box RLK2301, while the controller end uses the keyed RLS0749/K06 plug for a direct connection to the drive. Both the PVC sheath and internal insulation remain flexible from -30 to +80 °C. This same temperature range applies to operating and storage conditions, so the cable can be kept in unheated warehouses and later installed in warm production areas while remaining suitable for drag-chain use.
