RKL0071 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0071 is a ready-made power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links IndraDrive units to synchronous or asynchronous motors in automated machinery, carrying drive output, brake supply, and auxiliary control signals through one assembly so fewer separate cable runs are needed on moving axes. With preassembled terminations, the cable reduces setup work and preserves the shielding integrity needed for high-frequency pulse-width-modulated power. The combined power and auxiliary layout also helps keep cable bundles more manageable inside compact machine frames.

The mechanical layout begins with an outer diameter of 22.2 mm, allowing the cable to fit standard drag-chain separators while accommodating four power conductors sized at 4 x 10.0 mm². On the drive end, a factory-molded Plug RLS0721 mates directly with the power connection of compatible converters, while the motor end terminates in a Clamp Box RLK3101 so internal motor terminals can be reached without field soldering. For installations in continuous-motion carriers, the allowed dynamic bending radius is 7.5 x D. Two screened control-pair groups run alongside the main cores to carry brake and temperature signals with reduced crosstalk and to keep auxiliary circuits separated from the power conductors.

Service life in moving assemblies is rated for 5,000,000 flex cycles when the cable is bent within a static radius of 5 x D. Copper conductor resistance is limited to 1.91 Ohm/km, which helps reduce voltage drop across long machine axes and supports stable delivery of motor power over extended runs. A tough outer sheathing of PUR (adhesion-free, matte) provides abrasion protection, resists cutting fluids, and supports oil-resistant use in machining or forming lines. The jacket material also helps protect the conductors where contact with chain guides or nearby machine surfaces can occur.
