RKL0056 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0056 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is a prefabricated cable assembly used to transfer three-phase power from a Rexroth drive controller to a synchronous servo motor in automated machinery. By matching conductor impedance and mechanical flexibility to moving axes, the cable maintains stable current delivery while tolerating continuous movement inside cable chains and articulated robot arms. Its prefabricated layout also keeps connector orientation consistent where repeated motion and limited installation space require reliable routing.

The assembly uses bulk cable type INK0603, which provides the conductor stranding and shielding layout needed for compatibility with high-frequency PWM outputs. Each power conductor has a cross-section of 4.0 mm², providing adequate ampacity for medium-frame motors without excessive voltage drop. The external insulation uses a PUR jacket that is adhesion-free and matte, so it glides in trays and resists coolant exposure. Visual identification is aided by the standardized jacket color RAL 2003 (orange). Electrical losses over distance remain low because the conductor resistance at 20 °C is limited to 4.95 ?/km, which helps reduce line loss on longer cable runs.

Connection hardware is factory-terminated with the controller-side plug RLS0749/K04 and the motor-side plug RLS1301/C04, which removes variation from field crimping and keeps the mating geometry consistent at both ends. For drive systems that rely on fast switching edges, the line's mutual capacitance is restricted to 0.8 nF/m, reducing reactive current that can add heat to the drive output stage. In dynamic carriers, the cable withstands continuous motion because its permissible bending radius in motion is 7.5 x D. This bend requirement allows tighter loop routing while reducing stress on the copper conductors and the PUR sheath during repeated movement.
