RKL0053 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0053 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for servo applications, it links the drive amplifier to the motor so that phase power and control signals reach the actuator. The cable is intended for installation in moving automation equipment, where drag chains or robot arms require a flexible yet electrically stable connection. Its balance between 1.0 mm² power cores and control pairs makes it suitable for compact routing inside machine tools and packaging lines.

The cable uses bulk cable type INK0653 with a consistent strand class, insulation wall, and shield arrangement throughout the assembly. Four power conductors of 1.0 mm² run in parallel with a separate quartet of control pairs, which are sized at 4 × 0.75 mm² to carry temperature sensor or brake release signals without excessive voltage drop. The power cores have a loop resistance of 19.5 Ohm/km at 20 °C, so drive-induced voltage modulation remains within servo tolerance during extended runs. On the cabinet side, the keyed circular connector RLS0749/K01 terminates the shield, grounding braid, and individual cores for connection to IndraDrive outputs. Mechanical protection comes from a PUR (adhesion-free, matte) outer jacket that tolerates oils and weld spatter while reducing friction inside cable guides.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 flexing cycles, allowing it to operate in high-duty energy chains without conductor fatigue. The sheath compound is Halogen-free, which reduces corrosive gases during an electrical fault and supports plant safety requirements. Visual identification is straightforward because the jacket is colored RAL 2003 (orange), matching Rexroth standard drive cabling in mixed harness bundles. Connection to the motor is completed through the molded plug coded RLS1101/C02, which provides pin compatibility with MSK and MKE motors.
