RKL0051 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0051 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series, intended to link drive controllers to synchronous or induction motors in automated machinery. It delivers power and auxiliary control signals through a multi-core layout. This arrangement provides a single routed connection that withstands the continuous motion common in gantries, pick-and-place axes, and other dynamic assemblies used in industrial automation cells and similar production equipment.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 flex cycles in continuous-flex drag chains, making it suitable for high-duty motion profiles. During operation, the moving bundle must observe a minimum dynamic bend radius of 7.5 × D; when installed in a fixed run, that limit relaxes to 5 × D. These radii help reduce conductor fatigue and jacket cracking during repeated movement. Conductor resistance measured at 20 °C is rated at 7.98 ?/km, which affects I²R losses when long cable lengths are used. A PUR, adhesion-free, matte jacket resists abrasion and oil splash, while the total shield helps block electromagnetic interference between motor phases and neighboring signal lines.

The bulk cable code INK0602 identifies the core construction, which includes four power conductors of 2.5 mm² and four control cores of 1.0 mm². This 4 + 4 topology supports temperature sensors, brake release, or holding contacts without an additional cable run. Control signals are routed through a molded controller plug coded RLS0749/K03, while motor terminations use an RLS1301/C03 angled shell for strain relief inside the motor junction box. The outer sheath follows RAL 2003 (orange) for machine-level wiring identification, and the aluminum-laminate shield keeps transfer impedance low around nearby feedback, network, and control cabling.
