RKL0048 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0048 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. This preassembled connection line links a drive controller to a servo motor and carries phase and protective-earth conductors for power transmission in automated machinery. It provides a consistent electrical path between cabinet hardware and moving axes, which simplifies cable routing and supports correct pinout, shielding, and strain-relief arrangement during installation. The cable is intended for applications where stationary control equipment must feed power to moving machine components through repeated travel.

Mechanical service life is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, indicating that the jacket and conductor bundle are built for repeated flexing in controlled motion applications. The conductor strand geometry and insulation system permit a minimum 7.5 × D dynamic bending radius, so the cable can move through carriers with tight curves without kinking. In fixed installation, the minimum bend radius is 5 × D static bending radius, which allows a tighter routing loop when the cable does not move. Because it is supplied as a ready-made assembly, the cable arrives with completed terminations, and the outer PUR jacket provides cut resistance, low water absorption, and a halogen-free exterior.

The polyurethane outer layer also meets EN 60811-2-1 and EN 50363-10-2 oil resistance, allowing use near hydraulic systems and other lubricated machine areas. The cable is not suitable for torsion, so applications with continuous twisting motion require a different cable type. It is also drag-chain capable, which means the strand lay and jacket compound are intended for continuous reciprocating travel in cable carriers. For quick visual identification in dense harnesses, the sheath is finished in RAL 2003 orange, which also makes the power lead easier to distinguish from feedback and communication cables during routing.
