RKL0047 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0047 is a power cable assembled by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It connects an Indramat controller to a compatible servo motor so that phase power and auxiliary signals reach the machine axis without manual termination work. In automated production cells, this pre-terminated cable reduces wiring time and helps ensure that conductor sizes, shielding, and connector pin assignments match the electrical demands of the drive system. Its preassembled construction also avoids field stripping and crimping at either end, which keeps the shielding arrangement consistent along the cable run.

The cable carries motor phase current on conductors with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², while a separate auxiliary pair uses 0.5 mm² copper for brake supply or reference lines. Mechanical durability is rated for 5 million flex cycles, indicating that the jacket and conductor bundle can withstand continuous motion in energy chains over long operating periods. When the cable moves, its minimum dynamic bend radius is 7.5 × D; observing this limit helps prevent torsional stress and broken strands during repeated travel. For stationary routing, the permissible loop tightens to 5 × D, which can save space inside control cabinets or cable troughs. That matters in drag-chain routes where repeated acceleration and reversal place constant bending load on the copper strands. These bend limits are based on the cable diameter and help protect the insulation during both moving and fixed installation.

The controller end uses the keyed RLS0746 plug, and the motor end terminates in the circular INS0751/C01 interface, which helps prevent pin-assignment errors. The raw cable comes from the INK0670 bulk type and is supplied as a ready-made harness with shielding, a drain wire, and strain relief already integrated. The installed strain relief also supports stable routing where the cable enters connectors on moving axes. This format supports general servo power applications and separates the assembly from feedback or sensor cables used elsewhere in the motion system.
