RKL0046 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0046 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is supplied as a pre-terminated assembly that links IndraDrive controllers with compatible synchronous servo motors, combining motor power conductors and auxiliary control wiring in one sheath. This arrangement reduces the number of separate cable runs inside a machine and keeps the connection between the drive and motor compact. Because the power and auxiliary circuits are bundled together, the cable also helps keep axis wiring organized where cabinet space is limited and moving components require consistent routing.

The cable measures 14.8 mm in outer diameter, a size that fits standard energy-chain separators and M20 cable glands without additional bushings. Its PUR jacket resists abrasion and helps protect the INK0602 bulk core set from oil and coolant exposure common around machine tools. The jacket surface also helps the cable move smoothly in cable carriers instead of sticking during repeated travel. Each power conductor uses a cross-section of 2.5 mm², while the paired control cores use 1.0 mm² for brake release or temperature monitoring circuits. The power conductors are rated for 300/500 V, and the separate control pair operates at 300/300 V to keep the auxiliary circuits electrically separated from the motor supply.

For dynamic routing, the cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles in drag-chain operation when the moving bend radius is kept at 7.5 × D. Fixed installations can use a tighter bend radius without placing the conductors under unnecessary strain. The motor side terminates in an RLS1108/C03 angled hybrid plug, which helps route the cable cleanly at the motor connection point. The controller side uses an RLS0746/K02 straight plug so the assembly matches Indramat drive pinouts and maintains shield continuity from end to end. Using different connector orientations at each end also helps reduce sharp cable turns near the mating points and supports orderly routing between the cabinet and the motor.
