RKL0045 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0045 cable is a dedicated power link produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is intended to carry three-phase motor power together with sensor and brake wiring between an IndraDrive controller and a servo motor inside automated machinery. By integrating the primary power cores and smaller auxiliary pairs in a single PUR-jacketed sheath, the product simplifies routing, reduces panel congestion, and maintains the electromagnetic compatibility required by high-speed motion platforms.

The design includes 4 x 0.75 mm² auxiliary cores that support temperature sensors or holding brake circuits without requiring a second cable. Main power delivery is handled by 3 x 1.5 mm² copper conductors, providing sufficient cross-section for motors of small to medium frame size at standard drive voltages. Distributed capacitance of 0.8 nF/m limits reactive current, allowing longer runs before the controller must compensate for cable charging. A loop resistance of 13.3 ?/km indicates the voltage drop per length and helps account for the distance between the cabinet and motor. The outer jacket is molded from PUR, giving high abrasion resistance, oil tolerance, and the flexibility needed for continuous-motion cable chains. Factory-crimped RLS connectors are used at both ends to keep the assembled cable consistent with its shielding layout.

With an overall diameter of 12.2 mm, the cable fits standard 12.5 mm chain separators and supports a dynamic bending radius of 7.5 x D, so repeated flexing in energy chains is possible without conductor fatigue. For static runs inside fixed conduits, a radius of 5 x D is acceptable. Endurance is rated for 5 million flex cycles, aligning with the lifetime expectations of multi-shift production lines. Termination is factory matched to an RLS0746/K02 controller plug and an RLS1301/C03 motor plug, preserving the intended shielding arrangement across the full cable assembly.
