RKL0036 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0036 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is intended for servo-axis wiring in industrial automation, carrying three-phase power and ground from drive modules to moving motors without premature fatigue. Its flex-rated construction permits installation inside cable carriers on gantries, pick-and-place heads, and other motion systems where thousands of cycles occur each shift. This makes it suitable for axes with frequent travel and repeated reversing movement.

The dynamic rating reaches 5 million bending cycles, showing how long the conductors and jacket can endure repeated flexing in motion applications. A total shield of tinned copper braid surrounds the cores to block radiated noise and provide a low-impedance path for drive-generated common-mode currents. At the cabinet wall, the cable mates to a metric EMC fitting sized M40 × 1.5, allowing a circumferential ground connection that maintains shield continuity through bulkhead plates. Copper conductors may operate up to +80 °C. When routed statically, the minimum bend radius is 5 × D, while moving cable chains must use at least 7.5 × D to reduce strand fatigue and jacket kinking.

The overall diameter measures 25.5 mm, which is useful for carrier cavity sizing and gland selection. An outer jacket colored Orange (RAL 2003) improves visibility in machine interiors and identifies the assembly as a power cable. The jacket compound is PUR, chosen for abrasion resistance, oil tolerance, and low particulate shedding in clean environments. The diameter also helps confirm compatibility with clamps and drag-chain separators before the cable is routed through the machine. Internally, four power wires labeled 1, 2, 3, and GNYE support standard three-phase connections with a dedicated protective conductor.
