RKL0034 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0034 cable is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is a motor power cable intended for routing drive energy and auxiliary control signals between an Indramat servo controller and a matched motor in automated machinery. The construction merges power conductors and control pairs in one jacket, allowing streamlined cable harness design and easier cabinet layout in industrial automation cells. This combined arrangement reduces the number of separate cable runs between the drive cabinet and the motor.

The core layout follows 4x16.0 mm² + 2x(2x1.5 mm²) StC, so four 16 mm² copper cores carry motor phase current while two shielded twisted pairs handle temperature or brake signals. For the power group, the permitted continuous line voltage is 300/500 V, whereas the embedded control pairs are limited to 300/300 V. These separate ratings help protect low-level electronics from motor-side transients. A circular sheath diameter of 25.5 mm fits standard EN 60204 cable clamps, and the conductor DC resistance of 1.21 ?/km at 20 °C helps keep copper losses low over long drag-chain runs. The dielectric has a discharge capacity of 1.2 nF/m, which is important when drive-end filter loading and EMC behavior are being evaluated.

Mechanical service life is rated for 5 million flex cycles, making the cable suitable for continuous-motion or gantry axes. Dynamic installation is permitted down to a bend radius of 7.5 × D, so a moving chain with a 200 mm inner radius can accommodate the full diameter without stressing the cores. The outer jacket is a PUR (adhesion-free, matte) compound that resists oil and cutting-fluid exposure while sliding smoothly in plastic guides. Because the formulation is halogen-free, combustion gases remain low in corrosive content, which supports use in enclosed production areas or cleanrooms without special exhaust provisions.
