RKL0033 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0033 motor power cable is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the dedicated link between a drive controller and a synchronous motor, carrying three-phase energy together with auxiliary signals required for closed-loop operation in automated production cells. The design targets installations that demand both electrical performance and mechanical flexibility, such as linear axes, gantry robots, and tooling centers with frequent motion. By combining power cores and low-voltage control pairs inside one sheath, it reduces wiring complexity while saving cabinet space.

The cable's power cores each have a cross-section of 10.0 mm². This low-resistance path supports high servo currents without excessive heating. Insulation permits operation at up to 300/500 V on the power conductors, and the measured loop resistance is 1.91 ohms/km, allowing accurate voltage control over extended runs. Mutual capacitance is limited to 1.0 nF/m, reducing displacement currents that can load the inverter at high switching frequencies. A circular outer diameter of 22.2 mm assists with cable clamp sizing and helps determine the fill factor in energy chains, contributing to predictable routing and proper thermal dissipation within packed trays.

The conductor set uses a 4×10.0 mm² + (2×1.0) StC + (2×1.5) StC arrangement and is approved for drag-chain duty, supporting repeated flexing in moving cable carriers. When fixed, the sheath tolerates bending down to 5 × D, and during continuous motion the minimum dynamic radius is 7.5 × D. The outer jacket uses PUR (adhesion-free, matte), which provides abrasion and oil resistance, while the insulation system withstands conductor temperatures up to +90 °C. Auxiliary control pairs are rated for 300/300 V so encoder, brake, or sensor lines remain electrically isolated from the main three-phase supply.
