RKL0031 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0031 is a ready-made motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for servo and spindle installations, this cable establishes a low-impedance power path between a drive inverter and its corresponding machine motor. By delivering balanced three-phase power and auxiliary control signals through a single preassembled line, it simplifies cabinet wiring. It is suited for moving machine axes where motor power, brake conductors, and temperature-related signals must travel together in one routed assembly.

Inside the basic model, four copper power cores with a cross-section of 4 x 4.0 mm² handle the main current, while two twisted shield pairs of 2x1.0 + 2x1.5 mm² carry brake release and temperature feedback lines. The overall external diameter is limited to 17.0 mm, allowing the cable to pass through standard energy-chain separators. Mechanical protection relies on a halogen-free outer sheath molded from PUR, which resists cutting fluids and remains flexible under torsion. Visual identification is straightforward because the jacket is colored Orange (RAL 2003). The combined layout keeps power and auxiliary conductors in one jacket, which helps maintain orderly routing through cable carriers and machine frames.

In dynamic routing, the cable endures up to 5,000,000 flex cycles when the bend radius is kept to 7.5 x D. Stationary loops may tighten to a minimum of 5 x D without kinking. The conductor insulation tolerates temperatures as high as +80 °C, so continuous motor currents do not degrade the dielectric. Factory-installed terminations include an RLK1301 clamp box on the drive side and an RLS0747 plug connector at the motor end. This ready-made configuration avoids field termination work and supports consistent connection quality on the machine.
