The RKL0029 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for fixed or dynamic routing between IndraDrive inverters and servo motors, the cable delivers three-phase power and auxiliary signals required in automated machinery. Its PUR outer jacket and fine-stranded copper conductors support continuous-flex applications inside cable carriers used throughout modern production cells. This layout allows a single cable assembly to handle motor power together with auxiliary functions while remaining suitable for repeated motion in automated equipment.
The conductor set uses 4x1.5 mm² + 2x(2x0.75 mm²), with four 1.5 mm² power cores and paired control leads that can carry brake or temperature-sensor circuits. Typical line-to-line capacitance is 0.8 nF/m, which affects reactive current and the usable cable length on high-frequency PWM inverters. Conductor resistance at 20 °C is 13.3 ?/km, which helps limit I²R losses and temperature rise over longer runs. Power insulation withstands up to 300/500 V, while the auxiliary cores are rated for 300/300 V control circuits, so one jacket can carry motor power and low-voltage auxiliary functions. A nominal outer diameter of 12.2 mm supports cable gland and carrier sizing, and the jacket is colored RAL 2003 orange for fast visual identification in mixed cable bundles.
In dynamic service, the PUR jacket remains adhesion-free and matte while the cable tolerates repeated flexing in energy-chain systems. The minimum static bend radius is 5 x D, and it increases to 7.5 x D during continuous flexing so routing can follow carrier motion without overstressing the cores. For thermal loading, the conductors may reach +90 °C in fixed installation, while moving operation is limited to +80 °C to protect insulation during repeated bending. This separation between fixed and dynamic temperature limits reflects the added mechanical stress that occurs when heat and motion act on the same conductor set.
