RKL0024 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0024 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is a ready-terminated assembly intended to carry three-phase drive power and auxiliary control conductors between an Indramat servo controller and its matched motor. In automated production cells, the cable forms part of the energy chain, supplying current while tolerating continuous motion inside drag-chain carriers and routing systems. That arrangement is useful on axes where cable routing passes through tight cabinet exits, machine-mounted carriers, and moving harness guides before reaching the motor. Its design streamlines installation because both ends arrive with pre-installed connectors, which reduces field wiring and supports consistent connection quality.

The cable is delivered as a Ready-Made assembly with factory-installed terminations. Mechanical life is rated for 5 million flexural cycles, making it suitable for repeated travel in moving cable carriers over long duty cycles. During motion, the sheath may bend to a dynamic radius of 7.5 × D, while a static loop down to 5 × D is permitted when the machine is idle. Suitability for drag-chain use means the outer jacket resists abrasion, oil, and coolant splash, and the internal filler layout helps prevent corkscrew effects during continuous movement.

Factory-mounted connectors simplify mating: the motor side terminates with an RLK1201 plug and the drive end uses the matching RLS0747 coupling, so no crimping is required on site. Power conductors are supplemented by four control cores sized at 4×0.75 mm² to carry brake or thermal sensor signals in the same run. A tough PUR jacket in RAL 2003 provides visibility in cable trays and remains flexible from -30 °C to +80 °C for both operation and storage. The combined power and control conductors allow one routed assembly to serve the motor connection and its auxiliary circuits. This format keeps the installation compact and avoids a separate auxiliary cable for common motor functions such as brake release or thermal monitoring.
