RKL0023 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0023 is a factory-terminated motor power lead manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links servo drives to associated motors and carries the three-phase supply required for torque production while maintaining a stable electrical connection in moving machine layouts. In automated equipment, this type of lead is commonly routed between a cabinet-mounted inverter and a motor on a linear axis, rotary table, or gantry. Supplied as a complete harness, the cable removes on-site crimping steps and reduces variation between installations. A preassembled cable also helps maintain connector fit and shielding continuity across the full run.

The cable has a flex life of 5,000,000 bending cycles, allowing continuous movement in drag chains and robotic axes. This supports repetitive travel where the harness bends back and forth during normal machine operation. It uses the Basic variant, so the jacket and insulation follow the standard material set for oil and coolant resistance. Because it is a Ready-Made assembly, the conductor terminations and shielding are completed at the factory, which helps keep the electrical path consistent. One end is fitted with an RLS1301 bayonet connector that mates with compatible inverters, and the locking style helps keep the connection secure during vibration or repeated motion. During motion, the cable should maintain a minimum bending radius of 7.5 x D to limit conductor fatigue along automated guideways.

The opposite end uses an RLS0747 motor plug, and the assembly is classified as a Power Cable so it can be distinguished from feedback or brake lines in the same routing tray. Keeping power wiring separate from signal lines also helps keep cable routing orderly inside carriers and machine frames. For stationary sections of the run, the minimum bend radius is 5 x D, which helps reduce stress where the cable is fastened to cabinet walls, entry plates, or support brackets. Continuous service is permitted from -30 to 80 °C, covering typical cold-start areas as well as heated production spaces. The same temperature range applies during storage, so the cable can remain in unconditioned indoor areas when it is not installed.
