The RKL0017 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the dedicated link that transfers drive output and auxiliary control signals from an Indramat controller to a synchronous servo motor, allowing coordinated motion in industrial automation cells, gantries, and processing lines. The cable's construction is intended for continuous-flex applications where repeated energy-chain movement occurs alongside positioning axes and conveyors. This arrangement allows motor power and supporting control signals to travel through one managed cable path, helping keep moving cable runs organized in compact machine layouts.
For dynamic use, the cable endures 5,000,000 bending cycles without conductor fatigue, a figure that supports long service intervals in high-duty machines. Its conductor bundle is built from the INK0650 bulk cable family, providing matched impedance and low capacitance for servo drive switching frequencies. Separate cores with a control wire cross-section of 0.75 mm² carry brake-release or sensor reference signals alongside the power group. The drive side terminates in a keyed RLS0746/K02 controller connector that locks to Indramat inverter modules and resists vibration. Mechanical protection is provided by a jacket formed from PUR, which resists cutting oils, weld spatter, and continuous torsion across moving carriages.
Visual identification on crowded cable trays is simplified by the jacket's industrial orange tone, specified as RAL 2003 (orange). At the motor end, a bayonet-locking RLS1201/C03 connector mates with MSK and MKE servo housings, completing the shield path and strain relief in one quarter turn. Compact routing through drag chains is possible because the nominal outer diameter is only 12.2 mm, reducing bend radius and installation space. Power conductors sized at 1.5 mm² support the current required by low-to-mid power axes while keeping the cable lightweight, so acceleration limits imposed on rapidly traversing slides remain minimal. The compact build also helps the cable move cleanly through carriers and around adjacent wiring in densely packed motion systems.
