RKL0016 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0016 cable assembly is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as a component of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is a factory-terminated power lead that links IndraDrive controllers to compatible servo motors, supplying three-phase energy and auxiliary signals required for automated motion systems on gantries, packaging machines, and handling axes. Because it arrives cut, jacketed, and fitted with matched connectors, installation time in the control cabinet and the drag-chain channel is minimized. The prepared terminations also allow direct connection at both ends without additional field crimping.

Its mechanical life reaches 5,000,000 bending cycles, allowing continuous motion inside energy chains without conductor fatigue. During operation, the cable must not be bent tighter than the 7.5 x D dynamic bending radius, while stationary routing can follow a 5 x D static bending radius; these limits protect the copper cores and the PUR outer sheath from kinking. The three power phases are carried on 1.5 mm² power conductors that accommodate the peak motor current used by small and medium Rexroth drives. An auxiliary pair with a 0.75 mm² control pair cross-section carries the controller enable or brake release signal. This layout allows motor power and a low-power control function to travel through one cable jacket.

The jacket material is extruded from INK0650 bulk cable, and the assembly is supplied as a ready-made cable assembly so no additional crimping or shield termination is required on site. The motor side terminates in an RLS1201/C03 motor plug that follows the M40, 9-pin layout to carry three power contacts, protective earth, and two control cores. At the drive end, an RLS0745/K02 controller plug mates directly with IndraDrive power modules. This connector arrangement supports direct attachment between the motor and drive while keeping the power and auxiliary circuits in the same cable run.
