RKL0012 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0012 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is intended to carry three-phase drive current and auxiliary signals between an IndraDrive controller and a synchronous servo motor in automated lines. The design targets installations that place the cable inside continuously moving drag chains, so mechanical fatigue resistance is a primary requirement in pick-and-place machines, packaging axes, and other high-duty motion systems.

The primary power cores have a cross-section of 4.0 mm², providing ample ampacity for typical medium-frame servo motors, while separate 2×1.0 mm² and 2×1.5 mm² auxiliary conductors support brake release and temperature sensor loops. A total outside diameter of 17.0 mm keeps the bundle compact, yet the cable endures a fixed-installation bend radius of 5 × D. When the jacket is at rest, that minimum radius helps prevent conductor deformation. In dynamic routes, the cable survives up to 5,000,000 drag-chain cycles, a figure supported by a wear-resistant PUR outer sheath that blocks oil penetration and resists cut propagation. The jacket color also makes the cable easier to identify during installation and service.

Connection hardware is molded to the cable ends: the motor side uses an M23 plug coded as RLS1201, and the drive side terminates in a hybrid circular connector designated RLS0721. The jacket is colored RAL 2003 (Orange), making the assembly easy to distinguish from neighboring cables in dense machine layouts. During operation in moving carriers, the flexible routing limit is 7.5 × D, allowing tighter loops than the fixed-installation radius without overstressing the conductors. These connector assignments and the jacket color help reduce wiring mistakes on modular production equipment.
