RKL0009 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0009 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is designed for servo axes that travel inside drag-chain guides. This flexible assembly supplies drive power and auxiliary control signals between the cabinet inverter and the moving motor, supporting coordinated motion in packaging, printing, and material-handling equipment. Its construction is intended for repeated motion between stationary controls and moving machine elements.

In dynamic routing, the cable endures 5,000,000 flex cycles, which indicates how many repetitive chain motions it can tolerate before conductor fatigue may appear. Its allowed bend during operation is limited to 7.5 × D, where D is the outer diameter, reducing mechanical stress on the copper strands; when the machine is idle, installation bends can be tightened to 5 × D. A polyurethane jacket colored orange (RAL 2003) resists oils and cutting fluids, and a braided foil-over-braid screen identified as a Total Shield blocks electromagnetic interference from high-frequency inverter switching. This shielding helps limit noise from nearby drive components and motor leads. Internal conductor insulation withstands temperatures up to 80 °C, so nearby heat sources should be considered during cable routing.

Application wiring is simplified by molded circular connectors: the drive side terminates in RLS1101, while the motor side is fitted with RLS0722. Power is carried on three cores of 1.0 mm² cross-section, giving adequate ampacity for small and midsize servo motors. Two auxiliary cores of 0.75 mm² support brake release or temperature sensor wiring without adding much bulk. This layout separates power conductors from lighter auxiliary wiring for cleaner cable organization on moving axes. The full-coverage shield bonds through the connector shells so shielding continuity remains intact across the entire cable set.
