RKL0008 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0008 cable is a flexible motor supply lead produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It carries three-phase drive power and auxiliary conductors between an IndraDrive controller and the associated motor in automated machinery. The cable provides a pre-assembled link that simplifies wiring in dynamic axes and helps maintain electrical continuity during continuous cycles. It is intended for drag-chain installations where repetitive movement and high acceleration require stable electrical performance over the service life.

The cable uses power conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², supporting typical low-voltage servo feeds up to several amperes, while machine I/O is routed through an auxiliary pair sized at 0.75 mm². The outer jacket is made of PUR, a thermoplastic polyurethane that resists oil and coolant splashes, and its surface is colored RAL 2003 (orange) for easy identification in cable trays. At 20 °C, the copper cores exhibit a resistance of 13.3 ?/km, which helps limit voltage drop over long runs. Static installation requires a minimum bend radius of 5 × D, where D is the overall cable diameter, so the line can be routed without excessive conductor strain.

For moving axes inside cable carriers, the minimum dynamic bend radius increases to 7.5 × D, and the construction withstands peak accelerations of 10 m/s² without conductor fatigue. The drive side is fitted with a keyed RLS0721/K02 circular connector that locks to Bosch Rexroth power modules, whereas the motor end is supplied with crimped ferrules for push-in terminals. This termination scheme shortens assembly time and supports consistent contact resistance. Low-friction jacket materials and slender conductor geometry allow the cable to follow rapid strokes repeatedly without sheath cracking or insulation creep.
