RKL0001 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL0001 is a dedicated motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is intended to carry drive output current as well as low-level auxiliary signals between an IndraDrive controller and a synchronous servo motor used in automated transport, assembly, and handling equipment. By combining power and control conductors under a common jacket, the cable simplifies wiring layouts and maintains predictable electromagnetic coupling inside dynamic machine axes.

RKL0001 is fabricated from the Rexroth INK0653 bulk cable, so conductor insulation, shielding, and braid density follow the electrical requirements of high-frequency pulse-width-modulated drives. The power path consists of 4x1.0 mm² copper cores that accommodate the continuous phase current drawn by compact servo motors while limiting voltage drop along standard machine lengths. For feedback, temperature, or brake circuits, the design includes 2x(2x0.75 mm²) control cores arranged as two twisted pairs to reduce crosstalk from the adjacent power bundle. A nominal outer diameter of 12.0 mm permits tight bend radii inside drag chains without exceeding mechanical stress limits. The PVC outer jacket is colored Orange (RAL 2003), making motor power conductors easy to identify inside mixed-media cable ducts.

On the motor side, an INS0542 circular connector is factory crimped to provide strain-relieved terminations, and the controller side is equipped with an RLS0721 plug that fits IndraDrive power modules without additional adapters. When the cable is clamped in a static routing tray, the conductor insulation can withstand ambient temperatures up to 90 °C, while the allowable conductor temperature during continuous flexing cycles in an energy chain is 80 °C. This connector pair supports secure attachment for both fixed and moving cable runs.
