RKH0801 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKH0801 hybrid cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKH Hybrid Cables series. It combines power conductors and feedback pairs in one assembly so a servo motor can connect to its controller through a single routed cable. That arrangement also reduces the number of separate cable runs entering the motor housing. In industrial automation, the cable is used on moving axes inside energy chains, where it carries drive current and encoder signals at the same time while helping reduce electromagnetic interference between adjacent conductors.

The cable supports up to 5 million bending cycles, which indicates a long service life in continuously flexing carrier systems. Its Hybrid construction places power and signal paths inside one sheath, reducing cable bulk and simplifying routing through crowded machine frames. Machine-side termination uses the circular plug RHS0019, which locks with a quarter-turn bayonet connection. During motion, the minimum dynamic bending radius is 8 x D, which helps limit copper strand fatigue during repeated acceleration and deceleration. The cable operates within a temperature range of -40 to 80 °C, allowing use near cold process zones and warmer equipment areas.

In static installations, the permissible bend is tighter at 4 x D, which helps when routing the cable behind panels or through confined cabinet spaces. The assembly is the Basic variant, which uses a standard jacket thickness for general motion duty. Field wiring at the drive controller uses the mating connector RHS0020, so the controller end matches the motor-side connection format. The conductor allocation follows the common RKH pinout, which keeps shielding and signal paths consistent across the assembly. One combined cable can simplify routing where moving axes have limited space for separate power and feedback lines.
