RKH0220 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKH0220 is a hybrid motor and sensor cable assembly produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the RKH Hybrid Cables series. The product combines power conductors and signal pairs in a single sheath to reduce wiring effort between servo drives and field devices. Delivered with factory-installed connectors, the assembly simplifies machine installation, reduces setup time, and maintains shielding integrity required in industrial automation environments such as pick-and-place gantries, packaging lines, or material-handling axes. Because it is an external interconnect component, it links cabinet drives to moving machinery where continuous flexing and temperature variation occur.

It is supplied as a ready-made harness, meaning the cable is cut to length and terminated before delivery. The flex-rated design supports up to 5,000,000 cycles in energy-chain applications, limiting conductor fatigue during rapid axis motion. It is a hybrid cable, so it carries servo power cores together with encoder or sensor wires under a common jacket, and only one routing path is needed. Both ends are equipped with the keyed circular connector type RHS0021, allowing direct mating to compatible IndraDrive motors and controllers. During operation, the dynamic bending radius is 8xD, where D is the cable outer diameter.

The thermal envelope extends up to 80 °C and down to -40 °C, so the assembly remains functional in heated enclosures as well as cold-storage machinery. In non-moving cable trays, the permitted static bending radius is 4xD, enabling tighter routing when the cable is fixed after installation. Conductor insulation and shielding correspond to the raw cable type REH0803, which provides oil resistance and low capacitance for accurate signal transmission. The same temperature range also applies during storage.
