RKH0100 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKH0100 hybrid cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKH Hybrid Cables series. It combines power conductors and encoder pairs within one jacket so a single cable can link a servo motor to the drive controller and its feedback connection in automated machinery. Using one composite cable reduces panel space, simplifies routing in cable chains, and helps maintain signal integrity between the motor encoder and the power stage. This arrangement also reduces the number of separate cable runs that must move with the axis during operation.

Bending endurance is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, which indicates how many flexing motions the jacket and conductors can withstand in dynamic drag-chain use before fatigue becomes critical. The cable is a Hybrid design because three conductor groups share one common sheath, including 5 x 2.5 mm² motor phase conductors, 5 x 0.34 mm² logic supply conductors, and dual twisted pairs for encoder channels. The cable has an overall diameter of 16.2 mm, which sets the required gland and carrier dimensions. Its jacket is made of PUR, which provides abrasion resistance and oil tolerance in industrial environments. For stationary installation, the minimum bend radius is 5 × OD, which helps limit mechanical stress on the copper strands during routing.

In moving cable tracks, the minimum bend radius increases to 10 × OD so cyclic flexing can occur without kinking the cable. Operation is allowed down to -30 °C when the cable is installed in a fixed position and to -20 °C during flexing, while both conditions share an upper service limit of 40 °C. During storage, the permissible temperature extends to 60 °C. The cable material is halogen-free and silicone-free, allowing use in paint shops and clean manufacturing zones that prohibit corrosive or adhesive-inhibiting vapors.
