The product is an encoder connection lead intended to convey incremental or absolute position data from a feedback device to the drive controller in industrial automation systems. Shielding, conductor geometry, and molded plugs are matched to the servo drive interface, so the assembly maintains signal integrity during high-speed motion while reducing installation time on the production floor.

During operation, the cable withstands ambient temperatures from -40 to +80 °C, which covers deep-freeze facilities as well as hot areas near forming equipment. Mechanical service life is rated for 5,000,000 flex cycles, so it can move continuously in an energy chain without early conductor fatigue. When routed through moving carriers, a minimum dynamic bend radius of 7.5 × D helps prevent core fracture, whereas stationary runs require a bend radius of 5 × D. The controller end is terminated with a coded circular connector of type INS0760/C01, which provides secure latching and proper pin orientation for Rexroth drive interfaces.

At the encoder end, the molded plug designated RGS1001/C01 mates directly with the feedback housing, eliminating field crimping errors because the assembly is delivered as a ready-made harness. The cable uses the Basic model version, meaning the jacket and shielding materials meet general-purpose oil and coolant resistance standards without added high-flex coatings. For applications that need in-line extension or breakout to auxiliary devices, the optional adapter lead REG0748 can be connected to the RKG4203 without affecting impedance. Storage and transport temperatures match the operating range, remaining stable from -40 to +80 °C so normal handling does not degrade electrical performance.
