The RKG4200T011 is an encoder cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKG Encoder Cables series for closed-loop automation assemblies. It links motor-mounted position encoders to drive controllers, carrying differential feedback signals while supplying sensor power. By maintaining accurate position data, this cable supports synchronized motion, speed regulation, and diagnostic reporting in multi-axis machinery. The cable variant is suited for incremental and absolute encoders, using low-capacitance pairs for differential data lines and balanced power cores. This layout helps preserve signal quality when the cable is installed alongside moving machine wiring.

Mechanical flex life is rated for 5,000,000 repetitive bending cycles, so the cable can be routed through cable chains on gantries or pick-and-place axes without premature conductor fatigue. During constant motion, the sheath must not be bent tighter than a 7.5xD radius, whereas fixed installations may use a 5xD minimum bend to save cabinet space. Signal integrity is protected by a total shield consisting of braided copper and aluminum-laminated foil that blocks electromagnetic interference from high-frequency inverter outputs. The outer jacket is molded from PUR, giving abrasion resistance, oil tolerance, and good flexibility at low temperatures. Its orange color helps identify the cable quickly in mixed bundles, and the jacket surface supports smooth travel through guides and drag-chain carriers.

Factory-terminated plugs simplify integration: the drive end carries a RGS1001 circular connector and the encoder end uses a INS0760 insert that matches Hiperface and EnDat transducers. Continuous duty is supported in ambient temperatures up to 80 °C, while safe service is maintained down to -40 °C for cold-room or outdoor axes. The cable may also be stored within the same temperature range without jacket cracking or conductor oxidation. Using dedicated end fittings on both sides also reduces the need for separate adapter leads during installation.
