The RKG0076 encoder cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKG Encoder Cables series. It links motor-mounted incremental or absolute encoders to the drive controller so position data travels reliably in automated machines. The cable carries both power and differential signal lines in one shielded assembly for motion-axis feedback. It is intended for repeated flexing in servo-driven equipment that uses cable carriers or other guided motion paths.

The cable is rated for 2,000,000 bending cycles, which is the number of flex motions it can withstand in drag-chain routes before conductor fatigue appears. Its outer sheath measures 9.7 mm in diameter, which helps determine suitable strain-relief fittings and cable-routing space. When the assembly moves, installation must observe a minimum bend radius of 10 × D; during static routing, the radius may be reduced to 6 × D. These limits help prevent insulation damage and loss of shield integrity. The sheath uses PUR (orange RAL 2003), a polyurethane jacket that offers oil resistance, notch toughness, and high visibility.

The signal interface terminates in 15-pin D-sub connectors, with a female socket on one side and a male pin header on the other so the harness mates directly with Indramat drives and motor encoders. A dedicated supply pair of 2 x 1.0 mm² conductors delivers encoder voltage with minimal drop over long runs. Four twisted shielded pairs totaling 4 x (2 x 0.14) mm² carry incremental tracks and reference channels while limiting electromagnetic interference in electrically noisy cabinets. The separate supply pair and signal pairs support encoder operation without combining all functions on the same conductors. Thanks to its material set, the cable remains flexible from -30 °C to 80 °C, which covers cold starts in unheated facilities and continuous service near warm servo controllers.
