The RKG0057 is an encoder feedback cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the RKG Encoder Cables series. It links servo motors to drive controllers and carries position data through its multicore conductors while withstanding continuous motion in cable-chain installations used throughout industrial automation. Because encoder signals are sensitive to interruption and noise, the cable is intended for motion systems that require stable feedback during repeated machine cycles. It is used between the motor feedback device and the drive so position data can be transmitted continuously as the axis accelerates, decelerates, and reverses direction.
This cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles and is built from bulk cable type REG0011, so the conductors maintain electrical integrity during long duty periods. A dynamic bending radius of 7.5 × D protects the cores when the cable moves, while a 4 × D static radius applies to fixed routing. The outer diameter is 10.0 mm, and the jacket is made of PUR, giving the cable the abrasion resistance needed in drag chains. The jacket is RAL2003 orange for visibility, and the halogen-free material helps reduce corrosive and toxic gases during a fire. The stated static bend radius also supports routing through cabinet ducts or along fixed machine members.
A straight plug coded RGS1711 terminates the motor side, and the controller end uses an angled plug coded RGS1712, which helps cable routing in confined cabinets and tight machine spaces. The angled controller-side connector can also reduce clearance issues near adjacent components where a straight cable exit would take more room. The conductor bundle can accelerate with cable carriers up to 50 m/s² without exceeding mechanical stress limits, and the maximum conductor temperature of 80 °C sets the thermal range for continuous operation. Its conductor layout uses four 0.5 mm² power leads and five twisted signal pairs, which helps preserve signal quality on differential encoder channels. This arrangement suits fast-moving gantries, pick-and-place modules, and other dynamic axes that rely on stable feedback signals.
