The RKG0056 cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKG Encoder Cables series. It is an encoder feedback lead intended to link position transducers to drive controllers, maintaining signal integrity in automated axes. The assembly incorporates molded connectors matched to related servo motors and drives, supporting reliable data transmission with reduced sensitivity to electrical noise in industrial environments. It carries feedback and auxiliary conductors in one cable, which helps keep routing compact in moving machine assemblies.

The conductor set originates from the REG0011 bulk cable design, so insulation thickness and shielding match EMC requirements for high-resolution encoders. At the machine interface, one end carries a keyed RGS1711 connector while the opposite end uses the compact RGS0009 plug. This pairing supports correct mating orientation without field rewiring. Signal and power lines share a common jacket with a core arrangement of 4x0.5 mm² + 5x(2x0.14) StC. This arrangement provides four larger cross-section conductors for supply lines and ten smaller conductors twisted into pairs for differential channels. The outside diameter is only 10.0 mm, so routing through drag-chain separators or cabinet glands remains straightforward. The shared jacket also helps keep the cable bundle manageable where space is limited near motor connectors and cabinet entries.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 flexing cycles in continuous-motion carriers, giving it the durability needed for high-duty gantry or handling robot travel. When the cable is moving, a minimum bend radius of 7.5xD must be observed, whereas fixed installations may use a tighter 5xD radius; these limits help protect the copper strands and shielding from fatigue. A tough outer sleeve made of PUR provides abrasion resistance against guide troughs, while its RAL 2003 orange color aids visual separation from motor power lines and other machine wiring.
