The RKG0037 is an encoder feedback cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKG Encoder Cables series. The assembly serves as the movable link between rotary or linear encoders and Rexroth drive electronics, conveying differential position, power, and diagnostic lines through a shielded, abrasion-resistant jacket. Its mechanical design allows installation on constantly reciprocating axes without compromising signal quality in industrial automation systems.

The conductor bundle is built from bulk cable type INK0532, which provides the conductor cross-section, copper stranding, overall shield, and PVC outer sheath used for drag-chain operation. Under continuous flexing, the cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, supporting multi-shift duty in gantries and pick-and-place modules. Installation parameters separate stationary from moving layouts: a static bending radius of 5xD helps prevent kinking during routing inside control cabinets, while a dynamic radius of 7.5xD protects conductors during repetitive motion. Each end is fitted with a keyed M23 17-pin interface that carries encoder channels, supply voltage, and shield termination in a single circular connector. The motor-side plug is labeled INS0379 (C01), and the drive-side plug is INS0643 (C01). Both housings include 360-degree shielding rings and threaded couplers to maintain low contact resistance under vibration and continuous machine movement. Thermal endurance matches typical machine-hall conditions, with reliable operation down to -30 °C for cold starts and up to +80 °C for sustained enclosure temperatures. The same temperature limits apply during storage, so the cable can be kept with replacement components before installation. Its shielded construction also helps reduce interference on encoder signals when the cable is routed near other powered machine wiring.
