RKG0032 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKG0032 encoder cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKG Encoder Cables series. It is supplied as a finished assembly for connecting position feedback devices to drive controllers in industrial automation systems. By carrying differential encoder signals alongside a dedicated low-voltage supply, the cordset supports precise closed-loop motion control on linear gantries, pick-and-place modules, and other continuously moving axes. Because power and feedback travel in one assembly, cable routing stays compact while the drive continues to receive position data during repeated motion.

For dynamic cable-chain service, the cable is rated for 5 million bending cycles and uses the bulk cable type INK0280. The assembly has an outer diameter of 10.0 mm and a PUR jacket with an adhesion-free matte surface that moves smoothly through guides and carriers. In fixed routing, the minimum bend radius is 5 × D, while flexible installation requires a 7.5 × D radius to reduce conductor fatigue. Inside the jacket, two 1.0 mm² supply cores provide encoder power, and the control group uses three twisted 0.25 mm² pairs plus three single 0.25 mm² leads for incremental and reference signals, which helps limit crosstalk over long travel paths.

In permanent installation, the copper conductors can operate up to +90 °C, and in continuous flexing service the allowable conductor temperature is +80 °C, which suits equipment installed in warm enclosures. The feedback end uses an INS0639/C01 connector, while the drive end mates to INS0496/C01 with keyed shells for correct orientation during connection. Cable mass is 0.160 kg/m, which helps keep moving loads predictable in drag-chain applications. The PUR jacket also resists common coolants, oils, and welding sparks, so the assembly remains suitable for demanding industrial environments.
